It is hard to believe, but Christmas is right around the corner – even though there seems to be no snow in sight. My family and I wish you a merry Christmas, a wonderful Christmas time and that all your wishes for 2020 may come true!
The climate change and its consequences were a major topic in the media this year and many of our customers have requested our advice. Everybody able to contribute just a small amount is asked to help to save our environment.
My sons and I drive many hundred miles a day to visit customers. When it was about time to exchange some older company cars, we deliberately chose to go electric. Kevin, Luke and I are now driving electric cars which we charge – whenever the sun allows us to do so – from our own roof. We will continue to enlarge our set of solar panels and batteries in the coming year to become more independent from fossil resources.
And by the way: we do use electrical chainsaws supplementing our conventional petrol driven tools for quite some time already. A battery driven chainsaw allows us to work almost quietly without any exhaust fumes. Our customers and our tree workers enjoy working like this although the larger chainsaws cannot be substituted by electric power yet. But who would have believed a few years ago that we are able to drive an electric car today for 400 kilometers or more without recharging?
We are happy being able in contributing to saving our environment just a little bit by generating solar energy, utilizing electric cars and most of all – helping your trees to survive. We look forward to continuing to be your trustworthy advisor in this so important matter.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
